A VITAL SEMINAR FOR PARENTS RAISING CHILDREN FROM TODDLERS THROUGH TEENS
February 9th, 2008 9AM – 3:15PM
A Biblical Approach to Parenting
This conference will arm you with an alternative to secular parenting through transformation of the heart. Renowned Christian author and speaker Paul Tripp will show you why godly parenting centers on changing hearts: your child’s heart and yours. When a heart is transformed, long lasting change is made possible. Heart-changing is God’s work, with the parents as God’s ministers. Learn how to be an instrument of heart-changing grace for your children in the small, everyday moments you spend with your child.
Dr. Tripp will address the following key topics:
- God’s design for the family.
If you do not understand the family, you will never understand parenting.
- The Bible’s life-transforming message for the heart.
How the heart-change affects both parent and child.
- The three primary stages of parenting.
Key issues and practical steps for each stage.
- Locate your own heart issues.
How is your parenting furthering God’s purpose, and how is it hindering it?
ALSO BEING OFFERED DURING THE CONFERENCE
WALK THRU THE BIBLE
OLD TESTAMENT SEMINAR - Kids in the Book for Children grades 1-4
Stories, games, magic tricks, skits. It may sound like too much fun to be part of a Bible seminar, but in reality these are the very things that stimulate children’s imaginations and creativity so that the Word of God can be planted deeply in their hearts.
Kids in Book gives kids a general knowledge of every book in the Bible as well as a more in-depth understanding of Old Testament stories. Kid’s come away from the seminar, not only with knowledge but many will make a commitment to pray and read their Bibles every day.
Lunch and snacks will be provided.
