Community Groups
If you would like to become more connected in community at Redeemer Montclair, we encourage you to get involved in one of our Community Groups. Community groups are a place where you can find relationship, mutual support, practical love and service, learn about the Christian faith, pray, and share of what we see God doing in our midst. A typical group gathering involves a time of fellowship, a discussion about a passage of scripture and/or a recent sermon, and a time of praying for one another (Acts 2:42).

Why join a Community Group?
Although the Bible does not command us to organize a small-group ministry, it does assume significant community life within the church. When this community life does not happen organically (like in the early church or in smaller rural churches), the church must cultivate it by organizing the church into small nurturing communities. Community Groups are gatherings of six to twelve people meeting in individual apartments and homes throughout the Montclair area during the week. These groups are led by trained and supported lay leaders.
